Hydrogen peroxide is a weak acid. And it is cytotoxic, which means that is destroys cells. When dentists bleach teeth with either hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide products, great pains are taken to keep these compounds off of the gum tissues. Best bleaching solutions. In a dental office, something like Zoom. As a take home gel product, Nite White or Day White, or something along those lines. Crest White Stripes do work but I find them to be not as effective as the previous methods. It is a little hit a miss with Crest White Stripes.
